The Buckhorn State Park Ranger Rick Geocache Trail consists of a series of five geocaches along the Barren’s Nature Trail. Before searching for the caches you can pick up a Ranger Rick passport at the park office. The passport includes some of Ranger Rick’s animal friends. Hike the trail, learn a little bit about the Barrens Nature Trail and some of Ranger Rick’s friends. When you find the cache, stamp or put a sticker on your passport next to the correct animal. After finishing the trail bring your completed passport back to the office during office hours, ask for the final cache and sign the log. Special prizes for kids who complete the series. We hope you enjoyed our trail and learning a little more about the savanna ecosystem.
