Geocache Description:

This is one of our favourite places, with wonderful views, car park (open dawn to dusk), toilets and picnic tables.  The area is wheelchair friendly but some assistance may be needed for the actual retrieval.  On sunny weekends there may be some muggle problems as the area is popular with walkers, cyclists and kite flyers.

To arrive here you have followed signs to Barbury Castle.  Once you have had your fill of the view from the car park do take a stroll to the castle.  Barbury is an Iron Age hill fort (so apologies to anyone expecting stone turrets and drawbridges) which is very close to the Ridgeway long distance path.  There are boards around to give you more information about the castle and its development. We have spent many happy hours here flying kites and walking.
The cache is a screw top container in a green, camo bag.
