Geocache Description:

Under The Ice: Turtle Rock cache

Under The Ice: Turtle Rock cache is found along a portion of the Ice Age Trail. This section, Turtle Rock, crossing Burma Road/Cty Rd E in Lincoln County, is between Tomahawk and Merrill, on the west side of the Wisconsin River.

Mark and I enjoy driving these backroads when we want a scenic drive in the countryside.  While searching for our caches in the sticks, we hope you, too, enjoy the beauty of the Wisconsin Northwoods.

We saw a strange sight there at the gate: FOUR pair of different sizes and styles of hiking boots laying there on the grass!  We wonder if this is a thing hikers do on the country's long hiking trails, drop boots or shoes along the trail for those whose boots wear out???  Let us know and we will post it here.

Enjoy the drive and cache searches!

Small camo pill bottle on a hook.

Cache named after a song titled "Under The Ice", by Todd Rundgren's band, The Nazz, from their album, "Nazz Nazz".
