GC3P84D Telgte Tomball (Twin Cache)
This cache will require you to get a partner in Germany to help you with the final.
The partnership between the cities started in 2000. Christian Tiews and his wife Lula, born in Telgte, immigrated to the Texan city and discovered countless parallels between Telgte and Tomball. Since then, many friendships were made and are strengthened by both sides. Almost annually, members of the committee, friends, and relatives visit each other in the respective sister city, located 8300 kilometers (5300 miles) airline-distance apart from each other. Furthermore, a student exchange program has been created. Each year, three students from Telgte go overseas to stay in Tomball for a whole year in order to learn the language and get to know the culture. Expin was one of those students in 2004/05. He is still in touch with many friends that he got to know during my year as an exchange student. A few students from Tomball also have visited Telgte for the better part of a school year.

About the cache: The twin-cache to this one exists in Telgte. Because this is all about the connections between the cities and establishing new relationships, cachers on both sides need to help each other out in order to find the respective finals. No worries: You do not need to travel overseas to log your visit. You should rather contact cachers in Telgte and ask for mutual help. At station 1 to THIS multi you will find coordinates for the final to THIS multi (located in Telgte). This goes also for the multi located in Telgte, which has its final in Tomball. Find the coordinates at station 1, write them down and go to the webpage of the twin-cache. There, post a note asking for help. If there is already a note asking for help in THIS listing, react to it first. This way, you give the coordinates you found at station 1 to the cacher in Telgte, who will take over from there on for you. You need to do the same for the cacher from Telgte: Once you have the coordinates, find it. Do not forget to write your name and the one of your partner in the logbook. You can log BOTH caches as "found".
Rules for the cache.
1.None of the geocachers working on a team, can enter an on-line find log until that team completes the cache.
2. There are no restrictions on member locale. One geocacher can travel to both spots and complete the cache on his or her own if so desired.
3. The cachers must identify their team member in the log.
4. It is okay to contact multiple people to start, but once you have provided coordinates to someone, that someone is your selection. You should not provide coordinates to another person in that area. It would be considerate to let the others that you contacted but will not select know that you won't be selecting them.
5. Expin and Log Dawgs will not be FTF on either cache and can not help in location the final for either cache.

Offiziell besteht die Partnerschaft seit 2000. Christian Tiews und seine Frau Lula, geboren in Telgte, wanderten in die texanische Stadt aus und entdeckten zahlreiche Parallelen zwischen den Orten. Seitdem entstanden unzählige Freundschaften, die bis heute gepflegt werden. Fast jährlich besuchen die führenden Mitglieder sowie Freunde und Bekannte sich gegenseitig in den 8300 Kilometer Luftlinie voneinander entfernt liegenden Städten.
Es existiert ebenfalls ein Austauschprogramm für weltoffene Schüler: Jedes Jahr besuchen drei Telgter Jugendliche die Partnerstadt Tomball für ein komplettes Schuljahr, um dort Kultur und Sprache zu erlernen. Ich selbst war im Schuljahr 2004/05 dort und blicke gerne auf die unbeschreibbare Zeit zurück. Bis heute stehe ich in Kontakt zu Freunden und Bekannten, die ich in Tomball kennengelernt habe. Aus Tomball waren ebenfalls einige begeisterte Jugendliche für längere Zeit zu Besuch in Telgte.

Kürzlich entstand dann die Idee zu diesem Cache. Hier die Infos dazu:
In Tomball existiert der Partnercache zu diesem Cache. Da es um die Verbindung und um den Aufbau neuer Beziehungen geht, müssen Cacher auf beiden Seiten sich gegenseitig unter die Arme greifen, um das jeweilige Final zu finden. Das Final zu diesem Cache befindet sich in Tomball und das Final zum Multi in Tomball befindet sich in Telgte. Keine Sorge: Ihr müsst nicht die lange Reise auf euch nehmen, um euch im Übersee befindenden Logbuch zu verewigen. Vielmehr sollt ihr Kontakt zu den Cachern in Tomball aufnehmen und gegenseitige Hilfe erfragen.
Bei Station 1 DIESES Multis findet ihr die Koordinaten zu dem Final DIESES Multis (versteckt in Tomball). Für den Multi in Tomball gilt das gleiche. Dort befinden sich die Koordinaten für das Final, das sich in Telgte befindet (für den Multi aus Tomball). Findet also die Koordinaten am Startpunkt DIESES Caches und notiert sie euch. Setzt euch nun an den Rechner und postet im Partnercache eine Note und bietet einen Koordinatentausch an. Sollte sich in diesem Cache bereits eine Note befinden, die Hilfe ersucht, reagiert auf sie. So könnt ihr eure gefundenen Koordinaten übermitteln und erhaltet im Gegenzug die Finalkoordinaten für den Multi, der in Tomball startet, jedoch in Telgte sein Final hat.
Kurzum: Ihr findet den Final für den Multi, der in Tomball startet, und in Tomball wird der Final zu diesem Cache für euch gefunden. Vergesst nicht, euren und den Namen des Partners im Logbuch einzutragen. Ihr dürft dann BEIDE Caches als "gefunden" loggen.
Bitte geht bei den euch übermittelten Finalkoordinaten ÄUSSERST sensibel vor. Es muss nichts abgebrochen oder rumgeknickt werden. Der Cache befindet sich über euch in ca. 2 Metern Höhe, ist aber gut zu erreichen. Bitte geht ihn erst in den Abendstunden an.

Hier noch einige Regeln
1. Es darf erst geloggt werden, wenn BEIDE Finals gefunden wurden.
2. Jeder darf natürlich auch beide Multis alleine machen. Flugkosten trägt jeder selbst ;-)
3. Koordinaten MÜSSEN getauscht. Bitte gebt die Koordinaten nicht weiter, sobald ihr die Multis abgeschlossen habt.
