This cache is not the most exciting, especially compared to what you will be standing in front of – The Hard Luck Castle. The cache is a simple tin candy box painted black and contains a few trade items.
The Hard Luck Castle started out as two guys lost in the desert looking for a place to sleep and finding a most inviting desert cabin (see the Hard Luck Mine cache for details, GC3PQRA). Over time and lots of hard labor, tons of cement, and over 24,000 bricks a castle was born in the desert. If the gate is open then you can drive up for a closer look and to meet the friendly owner. If time allows, take a tour. Don’t forget to look for the cabin where it all started.
