Geocache Description:

Another in the series of caches near Kyiv metro stations, this time near Palats Sportu on the Green Line.

For the month of June, Ukraine and Poland were centres of attention in the European sports world as they hosted the Euro 2012 Football (Soccer) Championships. Thousands of fans visited the countries to watch the games and take part in the festivities.

On July 1, the series came to an end in Kyiv as Spain played Italy and won 4:0. As the games came to an end, fireworks lit up the sky over Maidan, and people celebrated in the Fan Zone till the wee hours of the morning.

All good things must come to an end they say, and on July 2 the party was over and the return to normal life post-Euro began. On this day I hid this cache near one of the exits from metro station Palats Sportu, which is a metro station within sight of the stadium where the games in Kyiv were played.

The cache is a plastic nano.
