Geocache Description:

The reason I have placed a mini-series here is to try to raise awareness that there is an alternative traffic free route up and down Worms Hill from Styal Prison to The Carrs. I don’t live too far from here so therefore I drive, cycle, walk or run close to this location on most days of the week.

It never ceases to amaze me that some folk are willingly putting their lives at risk cycling, walking and running up and down the nearby narrow road.

To demonstrate my reasons, I took a couple of videos from the geo-jeep, one travelling up and the second travelling down the hill. You can clearly see the risks people are taking by ignoring the traffic free alternative route.

I did ask Cheshire East Council for the accident and injury statistics for this stretch of road, however they came back to me to say that there was a charge of £150 + VAT to collate the data!

Here is an example article about the so called "Killer road".

Keep your eyes peeled for some information that will help you find the bonus cache.
