Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden in support of the Carroll County ADC Challenge (GC34YJM).  Thanks to Deepdish23 for creating and maintaining that challenge cache!  Now there is a hide on page 4225 of the map book for everyone to find. We're pleased to offer a new caching experience in Carroll County for you to enjoy.

Little Pipe Creek is part of the Double Pipe Creek watershed, which feeds into the Monacacy river to the west.

The hide is at a crossing over its namesake.  It is a quiet little spot, with a single lane bridge, built in the late 1800s.  Please pay attention to the no trespassing signs, and park on the south side of the bridge on the side of the road.  There is no need to traverse private property in order to find the cache.

If spiders and poison ivy are a concern for you, stand fore warned, you may encounter some of each in your search, depending on how you choose to approach the hide.  That being said, we managed to make the hide unscathed!  Note that this a single lane bridge.  Drivers coming from the south do not have good sight lines depending on where you are searching.  Employ a spotter when possible.

The coordinates were averaged over five minutes, with twelve satellites visible on a clear day.  Subsequent visits weeks apart using the same technique, and feedback from successful seekers have indicated that the coordinates are good. That being said, metal structures are known to cause interference for GPSr signals.

As with all your searches, please do some research, and use good voyage planning techniques.  Know your limitations, employ risk management, and don’t take on something that is beyond your capability.  Some of you do this all the time, some rarely; in the end, it is you who are accountable for what happens to you, mentally, emotionally and physically as the result of seeking this hide.
