Geocaching Pumpkin Carving Contest

Come on out and show us your mad pumpkin carving skills. We will be in shelter #12, it is close to a play area for the children that do not wish to participate. If we run out of room the event will be moved to a bigger area. N 39° 30.996 W 087° 07.394 If you do not want to carve a pumpkin. Come on out and watch the masters at work. If you have a camping chair, bring it with you for extra seating. . Please post will attend so that I know which area to rent. I will provide Tea light candles for judging.

Supplies you will need to bring
One pumpkin
Carving tools

Contest rules
1. Be creative and have fun
2. You must bring your own pumpkin.
3. Bring your own carving tools.
4. Pumpkins must be carved at the event. No pre-carved pumpkins will be allowed to be submitted.
5. All carvings have to be Geocaching related.
6. A panel of judges will be voting on the winner.
7. You can plan your carving in advance.
8. You can bring your own pattern(s), but do not mark them on the pumpkin prior to the event.
9. Any pumpkins with any patterns pre-marked on them will be disqualified.
10.Only one entry per person, (One pumpkin per person)
11. There will be a 1 1/2 hour time limit on carving. So plan accordingly
12. Pumpkins may be cleaned out prior to the event so you can have more carving time
Note: Pumpkins that are cleaned out do break easier. Registration begins at 4pm. Get there early and clean out your pumpkin then.
13. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
14. Anyone who brings a pumpkin to carve can participate.
15. All pumpkins must be turned in by 6:00 for the judges.
16. I will provide trash bags. Please clean up your own mess.
17. Any ties will have a tie breaker vote.

Schedule of events:
4:00 to 4:30 p.m. Check in/ Registration begins.
4:30 p.m. Pumpkin carving begins
6:00 p.m. All pumpkins must be turned in.
6:15 p.m. Event is over
