Distillery Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

leepfrog95: Came out here today to check on this one since it appears as though we have a new BCCD enforcer who just uses excuses of downed trees in the area to make you check on caches that are in location. Since it appears that they new regime doesn't like existing caches, it seems as though they have alternative motives. This one was found in the exact location it was originally hidden, but we now have recovered the container. DONE

Geocache Description:

Distillery Conservation Area is part of the Boone County Conservation District.

Distillery has areas located in the river bottoms, and has areas of hardwood savanna that include Red and White Oak, and Hickory trees.  Distillery supports numerous grassland nesting birds, such as a population of Henslow’s Sparrows.  Hikers and skiers can utilize the miles of trails which wind through the prairies, savanna, and wetlands.  Canoeing enthusiasts can take advantage of the launch site, located at the end of Distillery Road.  The launch provides easy access to the river.  Due to their extremely close proximity, the combined sites of Anderson Woods, Distillery and Nelson’s Ford Conservation areas total more than 540 acres.

The cache is located just a short walk down a mowed path from the parking area.
Please BYOP as there is no room in the cache for one.
Make sure to replace as found for other people to enjoy the find also.
A special tool may be required for some people.
