How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
So, you've heard about geocaching and were a bit intrigued, but you're not sure exactly what it is, or if it's for you. This Introduction to Geocaching will help you find out what geocaching is, what it isn't, and maybe help you figure out if it's something you want to give a try. This short class will provide a brief overview of the game including how to find and hide caches. After the class session, the group will head out into the neighboring woods to find some caches.
The class is hosted by staff members of Auburndale Elementary School. It is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th, from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon, with a meet n' greet to follow. So come on down, and bring your GPS receiver or smartphone if you have one, and give the world-wide treasure hunt game a try. If you don't have a GPS receiver, we will have some available to use.
And if you're a veteran, come on down and share your experiences!
