Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates. This offset cache requires you to get information at this location to obtain the coordinates of the final cache.


The final container is between a micro and small size. There should be enough room for trackables and small trading items. It contains a logbook and a pencil. Please re-hide the cache as you find it.

N 45° AB.CDE W 090° FG.HIJ

Look at the informational sign entitled "Civilian Conservation Corps" and solve these problems to get your North coordinates.

AB = Look at the largest picture on the sign. Take the number of men in the bottom row that are completely in the picture
C = Look at the quote towards the top of the sign. It is written in gold letters. Take the number of letters in the man's last name and subtract 3
D = Take the number of CCC camps in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest before they disbanded in 1942 and divide by 11
E = Take the number of men in the photo wearing hats and divide by 2

The West coordinates will come from the other informational sign.

FG = Look at the quote towards the top of the sign. (again, gold letters) Take the number of letters in the man's last name and multiply by 3
H = Look at the picture of the house. This house was the home of the Ranger and his family. The depression in the grass area was the location of the foundation. The garage still stands in the southwest corner of the lot. Take the number of doors to the house in the picture and add 1.
I = Take the third digit of the year in which the Medford administrative site was passed over to the Chequamegon Forest.
J = "The booming __________ industry in Wisconsin brought immigrants from all over Europe." Take the number of letters in the missing word
