Who: All geocachers and families!
Earlier this year, the Board adopted a revision of the bylaws to better comply with Iowa non-profit law. One of the changes instituted an annual meeting, to be held in conjunction with the annual Hike-n-Seek event. Another change adjusted the election calendar to set up a transition of leadership to happen at this meeting. So, cast your vote on the IGO site, then come to the meeting to welcome the newest Board members, and thank those who are completing their service.
The agenda for the meeting will be posted online as the date nears, and there will be topics on which the Board would like your opinion – so come share it, please!
The location for the meeting is the Northside Café in Winterset. This is the café where Clint Eastwood’s character ate in the movie “The Bridges of Madison County.” Under new ownership, the café has been completely remodeled this year, and boasts an impressive menu.
We’ll begin the event with a meet-n-greet at 6:00. If you’d like to eat here, simply order off the menu. The meeting will begin around 7:30 – 8:00 as people finish their meals, taking place in the back room of the café.
