Geocache Description:

This is an easy to find cache, hidden along a newer section of trail in Marion.

An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something: "The geocacher had a phobia of caches hidden on or near bridges."

I admit it. I have been clinically diagnosed as having Geo-BridgePhobia. I break out in a cold sweat every time the distance indicator on my GPSr approaches zero in the vicinity of a bridge. After years of professional treatment, my therapist instructed me that the only cure for my disorder is to directly confront my fear.

Today, I declare I am cured—as I will explain later. I wish to share that same cure opportunity with all of you other Geo-BridgePhobics out there. I have placed a purposely EASY-to-find geocache near a bridge along a well traveled trail (just in case you need an impromptu support group to form). This hide is just what the doctor ordered, providing you with a chance for psyche recovery by "easing" you past that irrational fear that has hindered you up til now. It’s not even one of those dreaded magnetic nanos (since a wooden bridge is not very friendly for them). Even the most nervous, shaky, heavy breathing, faint feeling seeker should be able to build their confidence with a find of this Bridge hide.

Now, as for MY cure… since I hid the cache, nobody else can claim this bridge for a hide, AND in turn, I HAVE ONE LESS BRIDGE CACHE TO FEAR!!! As a result, I can guarantee you that I am NOT feeling nervous, shaky, breathing heavily, or feeling faint. This "therapy" REALLY works!

Have fun.

Richard Fox, Marion Parks Director, gave permission for this hide.

Initial contents include a “Smiley” lanyard for FTF and a couple travel bugs.
