Cache In Trash Out (CITO) is an activity intimately tied to Geocaching. While out there on a cache hunt, we collect litter along the trails and properly dispose of it. Together, we make an enormous positive impact with just a little joint effort. So let’s give back to Lincoln State Park this year! Our Geocaching with Abe hosts have been so helpful and accommodating. Let’s pitch in to show our appreciation by cleaning up around the park again this year.
Although this is a very well maintained park, there is always going to be some trash that we can collect.
We'll meet at coordinates and divide into teams. Teams will be assigned certain areas/trails of the park to go around and collect trash. Trail #1 (the loop around the lake) will be the area for most to concentrate on as it gets the most use.
Participants should bring gloves and I will supply trash bags. After the event I will haul off all the trash bags that we can fill!
Hope to see you all there!
