How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
An Intro to geocaching has been requested by the Living Water Christian Church Family.
I have been asked to provide a short intro to geocaching to the members of the LWCC. I am well aware of my inexperience in caching and have explained this to Pastor Laura so she agreed that it might be good to have other cachers come and share their experiences and advice or maybe tell a tall tale or two.
The event will start with a light lunch at 12:30. Anyone who would like to join in the church meal would need to pay $5.00. (NOTE: Many church members are doing the Daniel Fast so the meal served will be vegan.) Another option would be to bring your own lunch or just join the group for cookies and a beverage.
The informative portion will probably start about 12:45. Nothing about the time line is written in stone, we will probably just play it by ear.
The plan is that once everyone gets through the serving line information about caching will be provided, There will be two caches placed on the church property. There may be some people who would like to be guided to a couple of additonal caches if there are guides available who have the time to do this.
It is important that people wanting to join in the meal let us know so that there will be sufficient food for all.
I plan to take some geocoins and a travel bug or two so that people can see some of the things we look for or collect. If anyone has some caches to show the variety of containers and could bring them, that would be great.
Congratulations to a new cacher--Irish directioner for the right to claim FTF.
Thanks to those who attended and helped with the event.
