Quick Park and Grab about a half mile east of Hwy 27.
This cache is in honor of the old home place, a farm that has been in the family for more than 150 years. It is also for Team Fleet Feet and the Huff-n-Puffs, four sisters, and several nieces and nephews who get together for occasional caching adventures.
Highway 27 is the "Great Divide" in Crawford County. Water on the west side flows into the Mississippi River. Here on the east side, it flows into the Gran Grae Creek and then into the Wisconsin River. Most of the farms in this area tilled the hilltops using contour farming, and pastured cattle on the hillsides and wooded valleys. As in most parts of the state, there are fewer family farms in operation.
This cache is placed on private property with the permission of the owner. The town road was moved a few years ago, so there's plenty of room to turn around by the mailbox. There is room in the cache for small trackables and swag.
There is a Wisconsin Cow Magnet (what else?) for the FTF.
