Geocache Description:

Part of  the Sidetracked series, this cache and dash experience is designed to facilitate geocaching by public transport.

The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) is the rail line running along the coast of Dublin, from Malahide and Howth southwards as far as Greystones, Co Wicklow. The original DART service, created in 1984, ran from Howth which is north-east of Dublin, through the city centre stations of Connolly, Tara Street, and Pearse, and south to Bray in County Wicklow. This remained the route for some 15 years, until the extension by one stop further south to the town of Greystones, and north from Howth Junction & Donaghmede by two stops further along the Belfast main line to Portmarnock and Malahide.
Killester was initially the first Norhbound stop on the way to Howth, but subsequently the addition of a new Clontarf Road station facilitated access to Fairview Park and the promenade.
Mainline services to and  from Belfast still pass through Killester but don't stop
Through south Dublin, from Pearse Station to Dun Laoghaire, the DART runs over Ireland's oldest railway, dating from 1834. For most of its route south of the city centre, the DART hugs the coast closely, and the scenic views over Dublin bay make it a popular tourist attraction.

Cache is suitably accessible by DART, but parking nearby is difficult as yellow lines are prevalent to prevent commuters from leaving vehicles there all day. There is some parking occasionally available on nearby roads, but little or none within about 200 metres of GZ. A station car park is located about 300m from the station entrance at the Howth Road end of Collins Avenue East.

This cache is now a magnetic nano containing logbook (tweezers might help), and is placed outside the station, so access does not necessarily involve fares, tickets, etc. This is a busy location so choose your moment...
Please re-hide the cache where you found it, to ensure that commuting muggles don’t discover it!
BYOP - Congrats to AbbeyAckbar on the FTF - great log too!
