How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
It's time to clean up the highway again! The Iowa Geocachers Organization's section of US Highway 75 just north of Hinton needs our attention. Though this event was meant to be held earlier in the fall, an uncertain work schedule for bumanfam Dad led to a delay. Thanks go to CartDaddy for pitching in, with day-of support!
We'll meet at the parking lot near the baseball fields at 9:00 am to break into teams and gear up. If we have enough people, we'll have teams covering the whole section (and be done quickly). So, bring out the whole gang! Bags will be provided, and we'll have some safety vests. If you have a vest, bring it. Pick up tools and gloves are recommended. Pay attention to the weather and be prepared. Unless there is heavy rain or snow, we'll be picking up trash!
Rumor has it there will be special trackable items available for attendees (who post a will-attend - then actually attend!), and other really cool prizes. We'll have special categories in which you can submit your trash for "Best of" awards. Examples may be something like "strangest item" or "most hubcaps collected." We'll also meet at Doosky's after the pick up for those who would like a bit to eat.
