[LT] Paminklas Dariaus ir Girėno skrydžiui per Atlantą.

[EN] Monument for Darius and Girėnas flight across Atlantic ocean.

[LT] Centriniame Šilalės miesto skvere esantis paminklas skirtas lakūnams S. Dariui ir S. Girėnui. Tai moderni akmenų kompozicija vaizduojanti miške tarp pušų nukritusią "Lituaniką". Lakūnų atminimas įamžintas 1993-aisiais, pažymint 60-ąsias jų rekordinio skrydžio per Atlantą ir tragiškos žūties metines. Paminklas liudija, kad vienas lakūnų - Stasys Girėnas - yra gimęs Šilalės rajone, Vytogaloje. Stepono Dariaus gimtasis Rubiškių kaimas taip pat yra viso labo 30 kilometrų nuo Šilalės.

[EN] Monument for pilots S. Darius and S. Girėnas is buit in the central Šilalė town square. This is a modern stone composition depicting crashed "Lituanica" plane in the pine forest. Memorial of pilots was commemorated in the 1993's, marking the 60th anniversary of their record-breaking flight across the Atlantic and the tragic death. The monument shows that one of the pilots - Stasys Girenas - born in Šilalė district, Vytogala village. Steponas Darius was born in Rubiškiai vilage, which is only 30 kilometers from Šilalė.
