How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
The cache is an L&L; at the location where the "30 Minute Perk" cache used to be. Hope my cache will also be used as a TB/GC hotel due to its easy access for travelers.
The cache is replacing the "30 Minute Perk", which despite of repeated call to the CO was not maintained. It is near to my friends hide (on the other side of the Allison park), but much more accessible. Once in the area you should go and visit the park. (Opened till dusk). Parking alongside the road is prohibited. Please park within the park if you wish to do a hike on the trail. The local police frequently patrolling the area and will give you a ticket if you leave the car on the road. The cache hopefully will also serve as a kind of a meeting and staging point of TB/GC, due to an easy access from the fuel/rest stop on the Palisade interstate highway, which is actually the first stop after the GB. WARNING: Due to high volume of vehicles at the place it may not be possible to get a park and grab from here. You also may try to reach the GZ from the GWB on a trail along the Parkway which would give you a possibility to collect some more smiles there and enjoy the spectacular view. Best entry is from Allison Park Road (park near entrance to park), Englewood Cliffs. Alternate entry is from the Palisades Interstate Parkway - entry can be made from the first gas station after entry from the GWB or Fort Lee on the Northbound. Or park at the GWB Fort Lee (do not forget to feed the meter) and walk on the trail.
