Aarau – Rathausplatz! Alles klar – los geht’s!! Aber Deine Suche nach dem Rathausplatz in Aarau wird gleich mit einer Überraschung beginnen: Es gibt ihn nicht.
Selbstverständlich hat Aarau ein Rathaus. Eine Rathausgasse existiert ebenfalls. Vor dem Rathaus gibt es sogar eine kleine Ausdehnung, die mit sehr viel gutem Willen als Plätzchen bezeichnet werden könnte. Doch es ist ein Areal ohne Namen. Der Stadtschreiber von Aarau, Martin Gossweiler äusserte mal die Vermutung, dass die Monopoly-Erfinder an den Aargauerplatz gedacht haben könnten.
Um welchen „Rathausplatz“ wird es wohl bei diesem Cache gehen? Machen wir uns auf die Spurensuche.

In der Wintersaison ist das Wasser abgestellt, und dessen Bett unter Eisen versteckt. Überlege Dir, wie das Wasser fliessen müsste, und gehe bis zur drittletzten Eisenplatte. Schaue dort genau hin und beantworte die Frage. Evtl. benötigst Du hierfür eine Taschenlampe. Schlimmstenfalls siehe Hint für automatische Hilfe per eMail.
Im Cache findest Du, wie bei Letterboxen üblich, einen Stempel. Das ist KEIN Tauschgegenstand. Wenn Du magst, stemple das Logbuch mit Deinem Stempel, und Dein Letterboxing-Buch mit dem Stempel des Caches.
Aarau – Rathausplatz (Town Hall-Square)! OK – let’s go! But your hunt fort he Rathausplatz in Aarau will commence with a surprise: There is no such square!
Of course: Aarau has a Town Hall. And there is also a road named after the Town Hall (Rathausgasse). There is even a small area in front of the Town Hall that with much phantasy could be considered to be a square. A representative of the Town, Martin Gossweiler mentioned that the inventors of Monopoly (Swiss edition) might have been thinking about the Aargauerplatz, another square a few hundred meters to the south.
So – which Rathausplatz shall we seek? Well, follow the traces of this cache and find out.

In the winter season the water is turned off, and the waterbed is hidden under iron. So reflect on how the water would flow and go to the third to the last of the iron plates. Aarau – Place de l‘Hôtel de Ville! C‘est ici que commence notre parcours. Mais attention: elle n‘existe pas. Il existe évidemment un Hôtel de Ville et même une Ruelle de l‘Hôtel de Ville. Et devant l‘Hôtel de Ville se trouve une surface peu étandue qu‘on pourrait nommer placette avec beaucoup de bonne volonté. Toutefois, c‘est un espace sans nom. Selon Martin Gossweiler, secrétaire de ville, les inventeurs du Monopoly aurait plûtot pensé à la Place d‘Argovie. De quelle Place de l‘Hôtel de Ville s‘agit-il donc? Suivez les instructions.
Alerte importante pour etape 3
Pendant la saison hivernale, l’eau est coupée, et caché sous le lit de fer. Pense à comment l’eau s’écoule, et va jusqu’à la plaque de fer dernier tiers. Regard de plus près et répond à la question. Peut-être tu as besoin d’une lampe de poche. Au pire prends note du Hint pour aide par eMail automatique.

Il segretario comunale di Aarau, Martin Gossweiler, ha espresso la presunzione che gli inventori di Monopoly abbiano pensato alla piazza di Aargau “Aargauerplatz”. Nella stagione invernale l’acqua è chiusa e il suo letto è nascosto sotto ferro. Rifletti come l’acqua dovrebbe scorrere e vai fino alla terzultima lastra di ferro.
