Geocache Description:

Neil Armstrong would probably have felt quite 'at home' searching for this cache as the moorlands of south Harrs have a 'moonlike' appearance.

The cache is almost equidistant from Geocrab, Flodobay and Finsbay, but the 'as the crow flies' distamce is signicantly increased by all the detours needed for lochs, peat bogs, rock outcrops etc.

Loch Uamh nan Cnaimh is a beautiful little loch and the gaelic name means loch of the cave of bones.

It is in this small cave that Mao Zedong and Xiao Mei Ling are sheltering.

In late summer/early autumn a single rowan tree near the entrance will have beautiful green foliage and stunning red berries.

As with all China Connection cache searches, good footwear and wet weather gear are essential.
