Geocache Description:

WGA Spring Campout 13
in conjunction with the MnGCA
ALL CACHERS ARE INVITED! Camping is optional.

Date/Time: May 17, 2013 to May 19, 2013
Location: Interstate State Park, St. Croix Falls, WI
Description: Joint WI/MN Campout Event

The 2013 WGA Spring Campout will be held at Interstate State Park on May 17-19. The campout will be co-hosted by the Wisconsin Geocaching Association and the Minnesota Geocaching Association, making it a truely interstate event!

As usual, group camping will be available. The cost will be $10 per night per tent. Registration is open! You can reserve your spot in the WGA Store.

A campfire social will be held on Friday and Saturday nights at one or possibly both group campsite. Anyone is invited to attend, but non-campers must leave the park by 11pm.

If you have a camper or prefer a private campsite, you can make reservations at reserveamerica.com. You are strongly encouraged to make your reservations early as sites go fast.

Camping is not required. Click Here to find a motel, or just stop in for the day.

The schedule of activities is still being worked on and can be seen below, but we are hoping to make this the biggest and best Spring Campout event we have ever hosted. Besides the traditional activities such as night caches, we're hoping to have a Dutch Oven Cookoff. There will even be an interstate tug-o-war.
There will be several new geocaches placed in or near the park for the event. If you live nearby and would like to place a cache for the event, feel free to do so.

If you have any thoughts on what type of activies you would like to see at this event, you can make a suggestion in the WGA forums.

Other activities that you can enjoy while at the campout include hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, and fishing.

If you would like to request a WGA nametag, you can do that here. Please do not request a nametag if you already have one, or if you will not be at the event to pick it up. Be sure to pick the correct event.

Another not to be missed tradition is the pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. There is no better way to top off the weekend than with all you can eat pancakes and sausages! All geocachers are invited to attend.
