Alpacas are pretty much the most adorable little fuzzy boogers that you're ever going to meet... and check this out! There's an alpaca farm 10 minutes from Main Street in St. Charles! Come by and visit the critters (make sure to check out the sign on the fence that explains a little more about what they are and what they do)!
Easy family-friendly park 'n' grab, you won't have to mess with the fence at all. Not a busy road, and only two houses use it for access, so no worries about parking on the shoulder. The farm owner knows about the cache (and helped place it!) so visitors are expected and welcome! We left a baggie of alpaca fleece in there for you to feel if you're so inclined, but it would be awesome if you left it there for the next cacher :) Seeded the cache with a Nursing Geocoin for the FTF in honor of my mom and her mom, who are both nurses. BYOP - cache is quite small, only big enough for the log, small trackables and swag, and the bag of alpaca fiber!
Happy Caching!! Update: I keep forgetting to get in here and edit - unfortunately, the barn burned down a couple of years ago, so no alpacas on site anymore 😭 Everyone was ok, but the owners decided to move them to a new location.
