Sensivelmente a meio da avenida José Vaz, na cidade de S. Pedro do Sul, situa-se um belo edifício, onde funcionou o antigo colégio São Tomás de Aquino.
O colégio foi inaugurado em meados dos anos 50 do século passado, contudo a construção deverá ser mais antiga, possivelmente do início do mesmo século.
Existe, no seu interior, uma capelinha dedicada ao santo patrono do antigo colégio, no lugar onde outrora havia uma capela de Santa Catarina, hoje desaparecida.
Actualmente o edifício está afecto ao Ministério da Educação e alberga uma residência para os estudantes.

Approximately in the middle of the José Vaz Avenue, in the city of S. Pedro do Sul, lies a beautiful building, where the old São Tomás de Aquino College used to exist.
The College opened in the mid 50’s of the last century, but the construction might be older, possibly from the beginning of that century.
There, inside of it, exists a small chapel dedicated to the patron of the old College, in the place where once was a chapel dedicated to Santa Catarina, now gone.
Currently the building belongs to the Ministry of Education and houses a residence for students.
