Help cure cabin fever by coming to our Meet and Greet and Introduction to Geocaching Event.
There's no doubt about it, a good wholesome experience outdoors will do the body, mind and soul a lot of good. Prescribe yourself some good ole fashion out-of-doors activity and join us at the Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center, Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.
Wanted: Experienced Geocachers to volunteer for the field practice portion of the class. When you log to attend, include that you would like to volunteer and send an email to Pam_Steinhaus@fws.gov
11 am - 12 pm Meet and Greet: Bring your lunch or enjoy some sloppy joes from our Friends Group, Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge.
12 pm - 1:00 pm Introduction to Geocaching Class Topics we will discuss during the class: Types of Geocaches - Geocaching containers - Finding a Geocache - Geocoins and Travel Bugs.
1:00 - 2:00 Let's find some Geocaches! Bring your own gps unit with cable or borrow one of ours.
