Geocache Description:

The end of the 19thcentury represents for the city a real golden age for Troyes hosiery. Factories develop in the suburbs and the urban landscape changes with the settling up of brick chimney and factory sheds.
The Guy De Berac factory is a witness of this prosperous activity and was still working in June, 2010. Subsidiary of Armor Lux group, the factory moved to new buildings, more adapted in the city of Sainte savine.
This 19thcentury building has been bought by Troyes municipality to settle the future “Fashion, Knitwear and Brands European center”.
This 19000 m2 sized ground, is in a project and in a strong will from the municipality to create a real knitwear museum.
