Geocache Description:

In honor of the one of the MegaWheatie clan's birthday, we will be hosting a CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) event on the west side Beaverdam Reservoir.

While Beaverdam Reservoir is owned by the City of Fairfax, it is located in Loudoun County and enjoyed by many people. It is a scenic place for hiking, fishing, non-motor boating and of course, geocaching.

The event starts at 10am. Everyone will meet at the posted coordinates and we will review some basic CITO safety procedures. People will then head out to collect as much trash as they can.  When the clean-up is done (maybe around 1pm?) we will meet back at the posted coords and have some refreshments.

There will be several brand new caches hidden nearby but they won't be officially published until after the event is over so CITO participants get an advantage in the FTF race!

This will be a relaxed, informal event where the only requirements are to have a good time and remove lots of trash from this beautiful place!

What to bring:
1. Gloves (never trust anything)
2. Boots (if you already have a pair)
3. Water (always a good idea)
4. Friends and family, Pets are permitted provided they are leashed at all times.
5. First AID kits (if you have one)
6. Anything else you think would be helpful.

This event has written approval from the City of Fairfax.
