Geocache Description:

"100 caches in 100 parks to celebrate 100 years"

2013 is the 100th anniversary of Washington State Parks, and as part of the celebration, WSGA and Washington State Parks are cohosting the Washington State Parks Centennial GeoTour. This GeoTour is a statewide challenge featuring 100 new caches placed on 100 State Park properties across the state, with a commemorative geocoin for finding 50 caches (silver coin) and 100 caches (gold coin).

The GeoTour launches on June 7. Find out more detailed information at this kickoff event, plus pick up your passport and see the prize coin. The cache series is expected to continue for 2-3 years, or until all coins are distributed, whichever comes first.

Visit Washington state parks for free on June 9 in recognition of National Get Outdoors Day. The Discover Pass is not required to visit state parks on free days (but you will need one later to find GeoTour caches).
