Geocache Description:

I'd like to invite everyone to join us on Saturday, May 11th at 10:00am Black Hill Regional Park Germantown, Maryland, for the second annual "Nanos In The Woods?" event!

Evil

Whether you're a fan or absolutely hate those 4 star hides in the woods, give this event a try. There will be five of the most notorious micro hiders in Maryland, each placing one hide of 4 stars or better. The 'Fab Five' are CalvertCachers, Bocco's, Eagleblazer, Snurt and _JohnnyCache. I will also be asking five additional hiders to place a cache to introduce some new ideas into the mix. If you're not into hunting marble size pebbles in a rock pile, the park offers hiking trails, lake for fishing along with boat rentals and a playground for the kids. There will also be a potluck dinner following the cache hunt.

Black Hill Entrance

With more than 2,000 acres, Black Hill Regional Park offers such a wide variety of outdoor activities that it's impossible to experience it all in a single visit. You'll enjoy picnic shelters near playgrounds, volleyball courts, paved and natural surface trails, and spectacular views of Little Seneca Lake. The lake can be enjoyed from your private boat, our rental boats, our pontoon tour boat, and the fishing pier. For those who love the solitude of the forest, miles of trails can be explored by foot, horseback or mountain bike. Our nature programs and interpretive tours will enhance your understanding and appreciation of this beautiful park.

Black Hill Regional Park features facilities that have been specially adapted to persons using wheelchairs. The deck of our Visitor Center has been fitted with clear plastic railings so that a person who is seated can view the lake and its surroundings without obstruction. Our newest fishing pier and the Kingfisher pontoon boat are easily accessible by wheelchair.
