Located on a spectacular bend in the Murrumbidgee, the old Weetangera mine/quarry has been a source of river sand and large pebble rock for many years. In fact it is still occasionally used when requirements for these wonderful stones demands!
At the GZ location you will be standing on a humongous pile of river rocks! Certainly the largest I have ever seen! – Given that – there were not many places to hide a cache… Under a rock you say! I’m sure that hint would have gone down well
!
In any case – enjoy the location, and if you have the enthusiasm – continue on to a few more caches downstream!
