Geocache Description:

This cache is fully in plain sight and located in Huntington Park atop Nob Hill.

On sunny Sundays, you can stroll through the park and see puppies frolicking, artists painting, and picnickers sprawled out on the grass. The park is surrounded by fascinating architecture, including the Chapel of Grace, Pacific-Union Club, Mark-Hopkins, Fairmont Hotel, and Masonic Center.

Street parking is diffcult but sometimes available right across the street from the cache on Cushman Street in a 30-minute loading zone. There is also a paid garage under the Chapel of Grace on Taylor.

Congratulations to deadley for FTF! Congratulations to Knupp for finding this cache as your #1,000!

More information about the park's centerpiece, the Fountain of the Tortoises, is available here.

Note that the cache was temporarily a different hide type at a different location from 5/4/13 to 5/18/13, but the original container has been repaired and the cache is back in its original home.

The cache is fully in plain sight if you are looking at GZ with your back to Cushman street (with the brown building behind you and the cathedral in front of you.).
