This is the Iowa State Capitol and I think that for this Flash Mob event we need to gather all that we can to do a "Shake Down" of the Harlem kind!
That is right! we have been approved to do the "Harlem Shake" in front of the Iowa State Capitol! Ohhh.....and I will be recording it for all to see on YouTube!
If you don't know what the Harlem Shake is, look it up on YouTube. You will find some zany videos.
Here is the Skinny,
Flash Mob time: 5:30pm-5:45pm be on time please, this is a FM after all. Will most likely not use the whole time, in fact hope to be done by 5:35pm-5:40pm
What to bring: Costumes, props, silliness, and sprite! Please minimize the clown outfits, I know NVG has an earlier FM event. The Key to a good Harlem Shake is that everyone is doing different things and wearing different things. I have a couple extra costumes and I will be bring extra props too. come find me or send me a message if you would like one. (I am limited, maybe 2 costumes) If you can't find a costume just bring a prop of some sort.
Due to the fact that this is a Geocaching version of a Harlem Shake bringing a few caching props would be awesome! I am thinking an Ammo Can or two, GPS (duh!), backpacks, maps, compass, walking sticks, hiking gear, ect.... stuff you take while caching!
Brief explanation of how this going down:
5:30pm - Music will start, one person will be in the center of the shot
5:32pm - I will restart the music and we will all be in the shot
5:33pm - Done and we will depart!
of course this is the ideal schedule, time may very.
Parking: Please refer to the Map in the photo section of this cache page. Since it will be after business hours, we can park on Finkbine Dr./9th st. right were we are having the event!
Weather: Rain or Shine be on time! cancellation is only if there is Thunder and Lightning. If the forecast is for bad weather check here before coming out. I should make an announcement at least by 1pm
