Enjoy the hunt
Parking waypoint added for the car park.
There are other gates but not all have parking facilities.
If you park in the car park, there is a tarmacadam path which will
bring you to all the way to the gates of the Walled Garden - the cache is nearby.
There are plans to do a lot more to the old Walled Gardens.
Hopefully the present dire state of the coffers won't delay this too much.
The entrance to the Blanchardstown Court can be seen from here and
also the Fingal County Council offices.
The Millennium Park, Blanchardstown is a 61.2 acre (24.4 ha) site adjacent to the
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and serves the local residential areas and its environs.
The terrain is roughly level and the eastern boundary has
some good stands of mixed broad leafed woodland.
The Millennium Park caters for both passive and active recreation.
Passive recreation is facilitated through a network of
pedestrian footpaths through tree-lined avenues, wildflower
meadowland, both formal and themed gardens, woodland areas,
and with seating areas throughout the park.
Active recreational facilities include football,basketball pitches
& skateboard area to the north-east of the site, as well as two
all-weather surface areas and a substantial junior and senior playground.
Exercise machines have been added at various points around the park.
Parking is accessible from the park entrance at the
Snugborough Road Extension – Waypoint added.
