Want to bring out the inner geek in you, geocaching style? Then this is the event for you! World Wide Flash Mob X is labeled "May the Fourth be with you" and we are going to bring it home to the Capital Steps!
What: A flash mob
When: May 4th, 2013 at 10:00 am
Where: The Capital Steps
Who: EVERYONE
In true flash mob style, please do not appear until 10AM. We will be hosting a Light Saber battle for Salem to see, costumes are optional. Battle will last for 5-10 mins and then we will convene at the pond to the West of the building for pictures and officially signing the log. Coords for the photo session are attached.
Event will be held, rain or shine.....it's Oregon after all!
You can purchase a light saber, if you don't own one. Or you can make one. Since this is all about fun, even a pool noodle saber is OKAY! There are many designs for light sabers on the web. Here are a couple sites (with others linked):

How it will happen (rules):
1. Please remember this is a flash mob. Flash mobs suddenly appear and then disappear as quickly. Keep groups to three or less until 10 am.
2. I will blow a whistle and the "war" begins. We are doing this for fun so contact is discouraged between participants.
3. We will battle for 5 - 10 mins, then I will blow the whistle again, and we will leave.
4. We will meet at the pond and have pictures taken, you can sign the official log and we will have a drawing for a WWFM X coin that I've purchased (if it arrives in time).
