halemeister: This spot has changed quite a bit since I first hid the cache here. I want geocaching to be fun for the people who come out and seek my hides, and this spot has gotten to be just too much to maintain. Good news, though! There's still more than 3.1 million other hides out there for you to enjoy!

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Severson Dells Forest Preserve!

2 rules about hunting caches in this preserve: No caching after dusk, and no pets allowed. Please follow these rules and everyone can have fun!

This cache is placed with permission from the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District which was granted to me with the issuance of permit # 2235.

Have you ever wanted a cache named after you? Well, here's to the caching team named leepfrog95! You're looking for a cammoed micro container off the trail a little bit.

Most of the caches in this forest preserve have been placed within 100 feet of a well established trail, but there are a few that are exceptions. Please come prepared to walk at least 3 miles if you plan on clearing out the whole park while you're here. If you find anything wrong with any of these hides (wet log, broken container, etc.) please make sure to let me know so that I can make repairs. Enjoy your hike!
