A 12.2 mile round trip, this Virtual Cache is not as difficult to get to as the Bright Angel Cache, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's THAT much easier!
The hike itself isn't that bad... I've huffed and puffed much more difficult and steep trails. The heat, on the other hand, combined with elevation (over a mile high) is what gets the unprepared.
If possible, take a picture and post it here, as the colors change throughout the day, making the same view different in each photo, part of the beauty of this canyon.
Take plenty of food and water, wear a wide brimmed hat, and don't go out there in the heat of the day!
Before attempting this cache, or any other cache below the Rim, be sure to pick up a copy of "Over the Edge: Death in Grand Canyon", by Michael Ghiglieri and Thomas Myers (Not a shamless plug - I paid $22.95 like anyone else. This book tells you what NOT to do in Crand Canyon, and what happens when you think laws of gravity, physics, and thermodynamics don't apply to you.)
In order to log this cache, post a unique pic of the view. (Maybe a selfie, or some other image that is obviously not just a stick photo.)
