Geocache Description:

Florida Welcomes You is a series of Geocaches located on the east side of the canal between the Allanburg Bridge and the Port Robinson ferry. You can park on the west side by the bridge at N 43° 04.572 W 079° 12.685. There is parking available on the east side by the Ferry dock at N 43° 04.225 W 079° 12.610

After doing the series you can catch the ferry and return along the paved Canal Parkway Trail. You can cache your way back to the Allanburg Bridge parking lot. Blue Spring State Park is one of our favorite parks to camp at to see manatee. It covers more than 2,600 acres, including the largest spring on the St. Johns River. Blue Springs is a designated Manatee Refuge and the winter home to a growing population of West Indian Manatees. The spring and spring run are closed during Manatee season, mid-November through March 15. Swimming or diving with manatees is not permitted; this rule is strictly enforced. There is a paved bike trail right beside the park, lots of trails to hike on and the St Johns River to canoe in.
