Just south of the cache several yards is a small memorial dedicated to Katie Binning, a graduate of UW-Platteville who died in a car accident on May 30, 2012, a mere 18 days after she graduated. Katie was a walk-on cross country runner for UW-Platteville for four years. She was also a very talented young artist who had spent her last semester as a UW-Platteville student teaching art to middle school and high school students. Some of her artwork is showcased in the newly built Rountree Commons. You can read more about here untimely death by clicking here.
This cache is a camo covered Altoids container. It is right along a beautiful walking trail that goes through Memorial Park and leads to some open fields near Southwest Road. This cache is located very near to the stream that runs through the area. It is a very high traffic area, so use stealth
Congratulations to BIGBROTHERBEAR for FTF!
