BtG: Rocky Creek Bridge (West Coast)
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Placed as part of a Bridging the Gap power trail between Kumara and Springfield
Bridging the Gap series was placed to fill the huge gap on our trips to ChCh from Greymouth.
As the name suggests all caches are on bridge structures. It was started at the first bridge in Kumara instead of Greymouth for those that may be travelling toward Hokitika/Glaciers way.
If travelling the road often you might want to just do a few and leave some for the next time your passing, otherwise feel free to do as many as you can in one day.
The cache is a magnectic silver camoed 50mil pill container with rolled log and stash note only.
Please no stamps or stickers.
We dont mind a copy and paste response but feel free to share your experience and please make sure to log any needs maintenance in a separate log.
As a geocacher I hate the excuse "I forgot a pen" and in my opinion it should be no sign no log.
This being said I have written the name of the cache at the top of the stash note and will accept photo logs if the photo includes the name of the cache.
Each log has a small coloured rubber band to help to extract the log easily from the baggie, please make sure that this goes back on the log and that the bag is sealed properly it only takes a few seconds.
Once you have done a few in the series you will know exactly what to expect and where to look so they will become pretty easy.
Goodluck collecting those numbers and as always, be safe and Have Fun!
