The cache is located in Cedar Bend Park, a Bremer County maintained park a few miles north of Waverly. The park is a CITO area and is closed to vehicles after October 31. Hunting is allowed in this park at certain times of the year. The cache has been approved by and is registered with the Bremer County Conservation Board.
There are other caches found within this well-maintained park, but I thought it needed another cache safe from rising waters. The cache can be accessed by a couple different trails, but the trail found to the southeast of the circle drive is the most accessible path. The hike is approximately 0.2 miles from the parking coordinates.
This well-hidden, 6 ounce plastic container is covered in camouflage duct tape. There is room for trackables and small trade items.
