Geocache Description:

This Wherigo will trace the former LBL Trail of These Hills. This trail meandered through a woodland portion of the Environmental Education area at Land Between the Lakes. TOTH described various characteristics of the Forest ecocystem and of its management.

This 2.5 mile hike is of moderate to hard difficulty.  Many portions of the trail have become "lost" to more than two decades of forest rejuvenation. You will be required to cross a stream - wet or dry.   Along the "trail" you will be provided information about how the fields and forest can create food and homes for wildlife, provide timber supply, and still serve as a recreation area.  Most of the resource management practices at LBL can be employed in other forests, woodlots, or even you own backyard.

This is a Wherigo cache so you need to visit the Wherigo website to download the cartridge HERE.  Your adventure will begin at FR175 off of Mulberry Flat Road (FR135). Park at the gate to begin your adventure.  DO NOT park more than one vehicles length off the main road AND do not drive beyond the gate.Once the tour is completed, you will be given the coordinates for the final location of the geocache container.  The container is a clear lock-n-lock type container. It contains a log and pencil/pen.

Please be aware, some Pocket PC PDAs may fail to run Wherigo properly due to a known issue with VGA (640x480) resolution screens. Models affected include the Loox 720. Experiment with the Wherigo tutorial cartridge before attempting to find this (and other wherigos) cache if you've not tried to do a Wherigo with your hardware before.
