Geocache Description:

Magnetic nano on the corner of Mt. Pleasant and Hobart Sts. BYOP, tweezers helpful. Heavy muggle area, be discreet. Directly relates to MtP’s 9th Art on Call installation.

Excerpt from the Mt. Pleasant Heritage Trail historic marker: When the Kenesaw Apartment House across Asbury Park opened in 1906 it led a wave of luxury apartment building here. The Kenesaw housed members of Congress and other prominent Washingtonians. In 1913 the Kenesaw owners donated land next to the building for a city park. President Coolidge dedicated the sculpture of Francis Asbury, the first Methodist bishop in America, in 1924.

The MtP Series highlights Mt. Pleasant a.k.a. “Village in the City”. Four of the five stops coincide with the Mt. Pleasant Heritage Trail - a self guided walking tour with historic markers packed with historic and cultural info. A couple also coincide with MtP’s Art on Call installations – historic fire and police call boxes restored in an artful way.

Congrats to wizardofmd69 for the FTF!
