Dabei handelt es sich um eine, in der Zeit zwischen 2005 und 2010, freigelegte archäologische Ausgrabungen 2 km westlich des Prishtina International Airport nahe der Ortschaft Harilaq.
Der Reste des Festungsbaus aus dem 4. bis 6. Jhd. n. Chr. liegt auf einer Anhöhe, von der aus man einen weiten Bereich der Umgebung südlich von Prishtina überblicken konnte.
Innerhalb des 1,3 ha umfassenden Festungswerkes wurde neben einem dreischiffigen Kirchchenfundament weitere Profan- und Zweckbauten entdeckt. Der Zweck einiger Gebäude gibt den Archäologen bis heute Rätsel auf, und ist für den kosovarischen Raum einzigartig. Die gefundenen Artefakte sind im Museum von Prishtina ausgestellt.

Harilaq fortress
It is a, in the time between 2005 and 2010, exposed archaeological excavation 2 km west of Prishtina International Airport near the village of Harilaq.
The remains of fortifications from the 4th to 6th Century AD are on a hill, from which one they could see a wide range of surroundings south of Prishtina.
Within the overall 1,3 ha fort there were more secular and non-residential buildings was discovered next to a church with three naves. The purpose of some of the buildings are still puzzled for the archaeologists, and are unique to the Kosovo region. The found artifacts are exhibited in the Museum of Prishtina.
