En mémoire Léonard Violet (1791-1881), il ouvre ses portes en 1876. Ce jardin de 9550m2 est décoré de divers arbustes qui se mêlent à des pins, sophoras, ailantes et un platane hybride à feuilles d’érable, sous l’ombre desquels s’étend une large pelouse accessible au public. Les enfants peuvent s’amuser dans l’aire de jeux qui leur propose un bac à sable, une structure-toboggan, des jeux à ressorts, une maisonnette en bois et une table de ping-pong. Le joli kiosque à musique, qui avait été pulvérisé lors de la tempête du 26 décembre 1999, a été reconstruit à l’identique et inauguré en 2004. De mai à septembre, des concerts y sont organisés.

La statue en bronze "Bataille d'enfants" de Joseph Louis Enderlin (1851-1940) a été fondue durant l'occupation en 1941 ainsi que la statue "Sauvée" d'Hector Lemaine qui représentait un pompier sauvant des flammes une jeune fille.
