Ukkovanu on peruskätkö Vanuvuoren luonnonsuojelualueella Ukkovanun laella . Ukkovanu on Kuopion neljänneksi korkein mäki ( 212m). Kätkö sijaitsee Vanuvuoren korkeimman paikan välittömässä läheisyydessä ja sinne päästäksesi joudut nousemaan Ukkovanun juurelta noin 300 metriä jyrkkää polkua. Hyvät, tukevat kengät ovat suositeltavat. Ukkovanun laella sijaitsee vanhan kolmiomittaustornin jäänteet ja sieltä avautuu kauniit maisemat Kallavedelle, joskin puut peittävät näkymää hieman.

Tien (Koirakaarre) toiselta puolelta n. 50 metriä alempaa lähtee polku luonnonsuojelualueelle. Myös polun alussa on tilaa muutamalle autolle.
ENG: Ukkovanu is a basic cache located on top of Ukkovanu's hill. Ukkovanu is the 4th highest hill in Kuopio (212m). To get to the cache you need to climb a steep hill so make sure you are wearing a good pair of hiking shoes. From the cache you can see a nice view to the lake Kallavesi. The cache is small plastic (1l) box which includes a pen, a sharpener and a notebook. There is also room for small items. The easiest way to get to the cache is to leave your car near to small red cottage in Koirakaarre. From the other side of the road about 50m down you can find a path that leads to Ukkovanu. There is also room for a couple of cars in the beginning of the path.
