Come party at Farrel’s place for some great fun for any and all geocachers. Farrel-McWhirter Park features plenty of hiking trails, tire swings, a children’s animal farm, an orienteering course, and of course, geocaching! This event will take place at one of the park’s shelters which comes equipped with running water, electricity, and BBQ grills. Despite these features, the shelter is somewhat small, but this just makes it easier to enjoy the beauty of the park. There are plenty of picnic tables set up around the shelter.
This event will take place in the form of a potluck lunch, so make sure to bring some of your favorite foods to share with everybody (no alcohol allowed). We will be using the grills too, so burgers and hotdogs, as well as accompanying condiments and buns, will be needed as well.

Please post what you will be bringing in your will attend log, as well as how many there will be in your party. This event will take place rain or shine (hoping for the latter!) so come prepared if the weather is not favorable. Here is a fairly updated list of who is bringing what, I’ve added a few categories to help organize the list, but don’t let them limit you, I would be happy to add more. I will be bringing plates, napkins, utensils, cups, some charcoal, and hamburger meat, but we could always use more!

But wait, there’s more!
There will also be a raffle at the event, each event goer gets a free ticket (this is where bringing children comes in handy :)). Donations are always welcome as well.
If you’re a cacher who is always running low on trinkets to put in geocaches, like I am, then you’re in luck! Anybody remember the goodie cups I gave out at my Big Daddy’s event? Well this time I will be giving out Trinket Sacks, that way everybody will have more stuff for SWAG trading or for filling new hides. Just like the raffle tickets, each event goer will get one free Trinket Sack.
Make sure to post your will attend log so I will know how many to expect, what food to expect, and so you can hear event announcements about the coin and potluck status. See you there!
