Lincoln State Park
Col. Jones Home – South Trail
Saturday, November 2, 2013
Cache In Trash Out (CITO) is an activity intimately tied to Geocaching. While out there on a cache hunt, we collect litter along the trails and properly dispose of it. Together, we make an enormous positive impact with just a little joint effort. So let’s give back to Lincoln State Park this year! Our Geocaching with Abe hosts have been so helpful and accommodating. Let’s pitch in to show our appreciation by cleaning up around the trail south of the Col. Jones home this year.
We’ll plan to meet at the parking area by the south trail below the Col. Jones home at 8am (CST) (just follow your GPSr to the posted coordinates...the Col. Jones home is just a little ways away from the main park area in nearby Gentryville, IN). We’ll have trash bags and gloves on hand, or you can bring your own sturdy gloves to help clear the hiking trail of limbs and debris.
And if camping in beautiful Southern Indiana in November isn’t enough to keep you busy, consider this: there are OVER 600 Geocaches within a 25-mile radius of Lincoln State Park. So come on down and join us for a fun-filled weekend of Geocaching!
See ya soon!
