Geocache Description:

[There used to be a sign here that referenced August 1st, 2008. That explains the cache name.]

On August 1st, 2008, the International Atomic Energy Agency unanimously approved a safeguard agreement with India, unemployment in the United States rose to 5.7 per cent, Vietnam's capital Hanoi absorbed the neighboring province of Ha Tay, King Tupou V was crowned as the 23rd Monarch of Tonga, at least 11 people died following the collapse of a three-story girls' dormitory due to an explosion in the village of Balcilar in Konya Province in central Anatolia, Turkey, the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation held a summit meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka, a total solar eclipse was visible from northern Canada (Nunavut), Greenland, central Russia, eastern Kazakhstan, western Mongolia and China, and the area behind the sign near the listed coordinates was no longer considered a park.

You do NOT have to climb any fences in order to find this cache, and you will not be trespassing while searching. You are looking for a micro. Enjoy!

Please be careful while pulling out onto the road as traffic moves fast and it is hard to see vehicles approaching from either direction.
